Old fashioned toys making a comeback!!

I thought I would enlist a handful of older kids to test out this fantastic set of bean bags I received from Klever Krafts. So I packed Rowan up and we headed to a friend’s house for a play date!

In the pictures you will see we had a total of four kids under 2.5 years old testing this product! Tanya with Klever Krafts started making “Bump ‘n Bruise Bags” and then her curious son got a hold of the bag and started playing with it! That is how she started creating smaller versions, just like the old fashioned bean bag!

The bean bags were a hit with the four testers as they would be for older kids as well! The younger kids play with them and toss them around. With bigger kids you could make a crafting project to build props with holes to aim at with the bean bags and then use them! Us mommies even enjoyed playin with them.

These can also be tossed in the freezer to be used as mini ice packs for those owies all kids run into. Although the beans are double stitched in the bags, it is recommended to watch little ones while they are playing with the bags just in case!

Klever Krafts has many clever products and Tanya is always expanding and creating new products from suggestions and ideas she finds herself. She likes her business because it allows being a mom to be more fun and it allows her to make things the way she likes it rather than things that are mass produced in factory somewhere.

Some of her other products include coffee cosies (a protective sleeve for your coffee cup), crayon rollups, pillow cases, bags, aprons and much more! She has a great selection of fabrics and most importantly of all she puts her customers first!

Tanya has an offer for one of our readers! She will offer one reader a $10 coupon to her store and free shipping.

A Fluffy Giveaway!!

I was very excited when we received our first package of fluff in the mail! Carolyn from Every Babies Bottom sent us one of her diapers to try out.

The outside of the diaper
The inside of the diaper
They carry Papoose diapers, we were lucky to receive one of the Whimsical in White diapers. The outer layer of the diapers is PUL, so no cover is needed and the inner layer is a polyester. The inner layer is so soft which would feel nice against the bare skin. The diapers come with one microfiber insert.

A rear view of the diaper
Extra inserts are available at an extra costs. We did not have a problem only using one insert, and Rowan is a heavy wetter. The elastic legs managed to contain one of Rowan’s most explosive poops to date!

The diapers are all in one pocket diapers. They fit a bit larger than the other diapers we have, Rowan is on one of the smaller sizes, but that means it will last us longer. There are three options for the rise and the waist can go quite small and quite large as well.

How the diaper fits

Every Babies Bottom just went public last month. It is a family run business. we are truly passionate about all the benefits of cloth diapers. “They are cheaper to use than disposables, better for your baby, environmentally friendly, easy to use and adjustable to fit baby  from newborn to toddler,” said Carolyn.”

Carolyn is expecting her first child and started the business after a family member asked Carolyn to look into cloth options.

Currently Every Babies Bottom is an online store with just the diapers and inserts but they are thinking of expansion in the future.

Carolyn is doing a giveaway once her facebook group reaches 100 fans. She will be giving away a cloth diapering package!

Ask her how to get free shipping and a 15% discount before April 30.

In order to qualify for Every  Babies Bottom’s giveaway you must head over to her facebook group, like it and leave a message for her as to why you want to cloth diaper or why you cloth diaper.

Perfect for your little princess!!!

Good afternoon Go Shop Momma readers! I am happy to present my first real blog to you guys! I was contacted by Tanya from Little Liddy Tutu’s to do a review. However, I have a bouncing baby boy and I do not think his daddy would be too happy to come home to find him in a pretty pink tutu!! So I agreed to do a quick review of her product and then a giveaway!!

I apologize for doing a written blog, but I can’t seem to find my webcam!

Like many new moms Tanya started too look for something to keep her busy while on her year-long maternity leave. She decided to start making her tutus over a year ago. She wanted something cute for her daughter to wear while crawling around. She certainly accomplished that and she creates some of the cutest tutus I have yet to see!! I kind of wish my Rowan was a little girl!!

Since then Tanya has partnered with her sister-in-law to add some awesome hats and headband sets.

Above is an example of Tanya's work! She can custom make tutus for your princess or ballerina. She as an assortment of colors. Sizing is based on the average child’s waist size, but custom orders can be accommodated. An awesome aspect of the tutus Tanya makes is that hey are made with flame retardant tulle!

So here is the fun part! Little Liddy Tutu’s has offered to do a give away for one lucky little princess!!

Hello everyone

I am very excited to be the new blogger for Go Shop Momma. A little about me, my name is Adrianne and I am a new mom. I never thought I would enjoy being a mom as much as I do. My son is now nine weeks old and we are constantly looking for new product to make being a momma easier or more fun!

We live in wintery EdmontonAlberta Canada. We would love to feature Canadian businesses and products but we won’t be exclusive. If a cool product from outside of Canada pops up we won’t turn it away!

Not only am I a new mom, I am a university student at the University of Alberta. I am slowly working towards obtaining my Bachelor of Education with a general elementary major and English as a second language minor.

We cloth diaper so we are constantly seeking new diapers and patterns as well as products that are cloth diapering friendly. I am always looking for reader input, so if there is a product you would like to see featured as a review or giveaway – please let me know and I will do my best to get it done!

So what would you like to see on the GSM blog in the next couple of months?

-CLOSED- Snugglywunkins Mitten clips and Adjustable snap belts review and giveaway

I received these mitten clips to review just in time for our beautful northern Manitoba weather, which some of you know, is BITTERLY cold.  Mittens are a must, and that can be difficult when you have a 3 year old that is constantly losing them!  Snugglywunkins to the rescue!!  Their mitten clips are not only cute, but also durable and safe for your children (lead-free).  These clips stayed attached despite my spirited 3 year olds efforts to remove them while bored in the back seat :)  Mitten clips come in 21 colors and patterns so you are sure to find an excellent match to any winter jacket and are priced at just $9.00 a pair.  During the off season mitten clips could also be used to make a napkin into a bib for your little one, or to create a nursing cover out of any receiving blanket.

I was also sent an adjustable snap belt which was perfect for those pants that just don't stay up, or leave gaps when your little one bends over.  The snap belts are well made and strong.  Its excellent for younger children who need the benefits of a belt, but do not yet have the motor skills to be undoing and doing a traditional belt.  They come in 3 colors/patterns and are only $6.00 each.

Snugglywunkins has generally offered up a giveaway of one set of mitten clips and adjustable snap belt in the color of the winners choice!

Here's how you win:  (leave your email with each entry)

1) LIKE Go Shop Momma on facebook.

2) LIKE Snugglywunkins on facebook.

3) Go to their website and tell us what colors or patterns you would choose if you won!

Giveaway closes Feb.25/2011 at 12 PM CST.

-CLOSED- AMP AIO Diaper review and giveaway!

AMP diapers were the very first brand of diapers I tried when I began my journey into the wonderful world of cloth diapering.  I began with the AMP one size duo which fit my newborn great and worked excellently for us.  I was really excited to try out the AMP AIO as it was the very first aplix diaper I have ever tried.

I have to say, this diaper is truly the closest you will ever find to a disposable.  It is made up of a PUL outer, aplix closure, microfibre inner with a layer of microfleece to keep your baby feeling dry.  The fit is excellent.  My little guy started to wear the medium when he was about 17 lbs and the fit was (and continues to be) fantastic.  This is one of the trimmest diapers I have and it fits well under jeans.  There is no wing droop and honestly, I don't have a single complaint about this diaper.

This is a fabulous diaper overall and at $20 msrp -- it is on the cheaper end of sized AIO diapers.  I LOVE that AMP diapers were created and  are manufactured in my home town, Winnipeg, MB -- CANADA.  I had the pleasure of meeting Annie and she is a lovely person who is so dedicated to the natural parenting lifestyle.  She stands behind her product and if you have any problems with your diapers you can email or call her and she will help you troubleshoot.  She also knows EVERYTHING about how to wash diapers, so if you are having an issue, don't hesitate to contact her.  You can get your AMP diapers here!

I want to say thank you to Annie and everyone behind AMP diapers for sponsoring this review and giveaway! Would you like to win one of these fantastic diapers?!  Here's how you can enter: (comment each entry separately with your email address so that I can contact you if you win!)
