  3. Toughest laundry problem has been grease stains appearing on clothes after washing, when there was no stain to begin with. Still not sure where they're coming from but my solution has been to rub a paste of baking soda & dish soap onto the stain & wash again. It always works.

  14. Toughest laundry problem has been day-to-day stains on the kids' clothing. Tide Stain Release has worked wonders on the stains, but takes another two wash cycles to rinse out the horribly strong scent.

  25. Most of the everyday stains 'seem' to be fixed by a Tide pen but the greasy ones...??? Got some lanolin off my son's cheek (dry skin...teething?) on a brand new T-shirt of mine, and have yet been able to get it off!

  26. Toughest laundry woes- stains on my cloth diapers and my husbands "need" to wash my baby's whites with his jeans..and dying them an awful blue-gray dingy shade of YUCK! Solution: a Rockin' Soak for 60 minutes in hot, a hot wash/cold rinse!
Red wine on, well anything? Dump table salt, let it absorb the wine and vacuum it up.

  34. My toughest laundry problem has been CD stinkies (both ammonia and just plain stink), mostly in overnight diapers. I tried many things that didn't work (increased the amount of detergent, used Hard Rock, tried a million different wash/rinse cycle combinations). Finally I found a wash/rinse combo that worked (cold pre-wash on 'handwash' cycle, hot wash on whites, final cold rinse on handwash again) and i decreased the RnG (Classic Rock) to just under 1 tbsp (i have a front loader) and that seems to be working. Yay RnG!!

  36. My toughest laundry problem so far has been our extremely hard water (I'd love to try the hard rock from rockin green). I usually add about a quarter of a cup of washing soda to each load of laundry to help soften the water and make the detergent work better.

  38. Right now our toughest laundry problem is we don't have a dryer and it's so cold outside/humid inside it takes 2-3 days for a load to hang dry. We just deal with it, and try to find creative new places to hang clothes lol

  42. Toughest laundry problem is my toddler's poo on the Birdseye prefolds. The only thing I've found to work for me is rubbing Fels Naptha on the stain, letting it sit for a few minutes and then washing.

  46. Toughest laundry problem is poop stains and the sun does wonders (though maybe tougher and more time consuming are the random food/unknown stains I find on my girl's clothes and that is really always a toss up to try to find a solution!) pamela.koop@gmail.com
